Enlighten SoCal Education seeks to ignite the light within each student and prepare them to become the best versions of themselves by displaying integrity, responsibility, respect, and collaboration. Therefore, we ask each of our students to be willing to abide by the following code of conduct:
This code of conduct outlines the expected behaviors of all students at Enlighten SoCal Education. It is essential for creating a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- All students will be expected to adhere to the rules and regulations regarding academic dishonesty and plagiarism. These rules include completing their own work and avoiding plagiarism and cheating on all assignments. Failure to conform to these rules will result in a grade of "F."
- All students are expected to refrain from inappropriate speech and behavior, such as: swearing, slang, fighting, discourtesy to others, teasing and bullying. Students are expected to be respectful at all times to all other students, teachers, and themselves. Students will treat others and themselves with dignity and respect, valuing the other students' and their own well-being and potential.
- All students will be held responsible to be punctual, prepared, and participate actively in class.
- All students will follow all safety procedures and guidelines, respect property and the property of others, and will use technology responsibly and ethically in accordance with Enlighten SoCal's policies. Technology will only be used according to class requirement and, otherwise, will not be needed. For research and reports, technology is expected to be used thoughtfully and ethically, as much information on the internet can be inaccurate or bias, and can be used for cheating.
The consequences of violating this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to: warning, loss of privileges, and/or parent/guardian conference.
Positive behavior will be recognized and rewarded. Students who consistently demonstrate exemplary conduct may receive special privileges or recognition.
